As far as I can see, the changes over the time (in all aspects of live like, learning and teaching, communication, economics, and so on) are happening in a very radical and fast way, but students and institutions are dealing right with it.
Nowadays, the changes in pressure have to do with technological development in an increasing global world. For example, it is easier for us to gather plenty of information in a few time. But it makes a necessity to handle technology and have the hability of being critical and selective, in order to get the right information among all that we are able to get . In addition, it is a requirement to have a higher scholarship, knowledge, and learning foreign languages in order to get a job and be competitive in a global market.
This kind of success is only reachable for those who are committed with a continuous education and improvement, supported by a high and strong basis of values, which will lead the person to a right development not only in an environment full of enterprises and businesses, but mainly focused on society and its necessities.
This is a big challenge that requires the overcoming of many different obstacles, real problems that could have even been caused by things that happened in other countries, but because of the global interconnection that leads today’s’ world every event may affect us. That is why we must have a proactive attitude and courage in order to accomplish our goals.
Also being in an institution, or two in our case (UVM and Walden University), both of them accredited by important institutions and committed not only with a higher quality education, but also with a positive social change focused on the nowadays requirements for a global world; its a big opportunity of gathering a great amount of knowledge and many useful tools, for facing real problems.
Moreover, we have to look further and search for other ways of learning and getting experience, even abroad, in order to get in touch with the diverse culture that surround us; specially now that we even have the opportunity of doing it without leaving our country. For example, by having e-communication with people around the word, or with online education.
We are only limited by ourselves, because today we possess all the elements to pass by all the cultural and territorial frontiers, which I believe no longer exist.
